John stopped by the visitor centre and asked for an old Firkin stave so that he could make a pen. I fetched him a bundle and asked that he make me one, he said no problem.
Fast forward 6 weeks and in walks John with a big box of about 30 of these absolutely beautiful hand turned pens. They started life as a Firkin cask made by my hands serving its life as a brewery cask full of old Peculier to have its final chapter in life getting spun up on a lathe by a nice man called John to finally end up on your hands wherever that may be.
Think there’s 25 or 26 available so get them while you can! If people like them and John is willing may get another batch some day
Pictures are of me and John and the staves on the table are the staves I gave John when he came to the visitor centre and those are what the pens are made from. Pretty cool.
